MINISTER PETTIGREW EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES
FOLLOWING FLOODING IN INDIA

Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew today issued the following statement regarding the massive flooding and landslides in western India that have claimed hundreds of lives:

“Canadians are saddened by the devastation and loss of life in India in recent days. We extend our sincere condolences to the Government and the people of India. Our thoughts are with the many citizens who have lost their loved ones, homes and possessions.”
