Haiti: World Bank grants US$1.25 million for community programs

Prepared by the International Financing Division, ITCan

The World Bank approved a US$1.25 million grant to support Haiti’s Port-au-Prince area community driven development pilot project. The project targets two areas that encompass 20 different subdivisions, and expects some 45,000 members from poor families to benefit from income generation opportunities created by the project, in addition to improving access to basic, socio-economic infrastructure and services.  The pilot project’s three key components are technical assistance, infrastructure improvement, and project administration and management.
