GRAHAM - VISIT TO WASHINGTON AND NEW YORK

Media representatives are advised that Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham will visit Washington, D.C. and New York,
from February 13 to 15, 2002.
On his visit to Washington on February 13 and 14, Minister Graham will meet with his U.S. counterpart, Secretary of State
Colin Powell, for the first time since becoming Minister of Foreign Affairs. While in Washington, Mr. Graham will also
visit the Organization of American States (OAS) where he will meet with OAS Secretary General César Gaviria and other
international delegates.
On the New York leg of his trip on February 15, Minister Graham will visit United Nations Headquarters where he will
meet with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Mr. Graham and Mr. Annan will open a high-level symposium on The
Responsibility to Protect, the final report of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty.
