BOUDRIA - CDN. REPRESENTATIVE AT CONFEJES
February 27, 2002 No. 31
The Honourable Don Boudria, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, will visit Ouagadougou,
Burkina Faso, on March 1 and 2 as the head of the Canadian delegation to the 45th meeting of the Conférence
des ministres de la Jeunesse et des sports de la Francophonie (CONFEJES).
The Organizing Committee of the Games of La Francophonie will present the highlights of the IV Games to the
Comité international des Jeux de la Francophonie, which is part of CONFEJES. Minister Boudria was
responsible for the IV Games, which were held in the Ottawa-Hull region in July 2001, and it is in this capacity
that he is leading the Canadian delegation to this ministerial meeting.
As the organization responsible for the Games of La Francophonie, CONFEJES contributes to promoting the
social and professional integration of youth by developing socio-educational structures and by making sport
part of continuing education and social development.
The V Games of La Francophonie will be held in Niamey, Niger, in 2005.
