G8 FOREIGN MINISTERS MEDIA ACCREDITATION

Media representatives are advised that media accreditation forms for the G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting are now available on our Web site at http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/g8fmm-g8rmae

Meeting

Canada will host the 2002 meeting of the G8 foreign ministers in Whistler, B.C., on June 12 and 13, 2002.

Media Accreditation
All Canadian and international media representatives planning to access the G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting must be accredited, and will be subject to a security check. Interested media representatives must complete the accreditation form available at www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/g8fmm-g8rmae, following the guidelines on the Web site, and return it with supporting documentation by regular mail to:

NOTE: Completed application forms must be received before May 27, 2002.


Passport and Visa Requirements

A passport, valid for at least 60 days from the date of travel, is required for entry into Canada. Citizens of some countries may also require a visa for entry into Canada. Individuals are advised to contact their nearest Canadian Diplomatic Mission to determine visa requirements.
