Canada and Norway Sign Youth Mobility Memorandum of Understanding

On October 30, 2006, in Ottawa, James Fox, Canadian Assistant Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, and Jorg Willy Bronebakk, Coordinator for North America of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Canada and the Government of Norway Concerning Youth Exchanges.

This MoU will allow Canadians and Norwegians between the ages of 18 and 35 to have new opportunities to engage in short-term employment in support of their career development, to complete internships and co-operative education work terms, and to participate in working holidays in each of our countries.

Although this MoU will come into effect upon signature, details regarding application procedures have not yet been finalized.
