TECHNICAL BRIEFING TO DISCUSS DECISION ON BYRD RETALIATION

Government officials will hold a technical background briefing today to discuss the Government of Canada’s decision on trade retaliation in response to the failure of the U.S. to comply with the World Trade Organization’s ruling on the Byrd Amendment.

Media representatives are asked to call the Media Relations Office of International Trade Canada to obtain the teleconference dial-in number.

Minister Peterson will also be available to meet media representatives briefly prior to his departure for India.
