International Trade Minister Jim Peterson and Italy’s Minister of Education, University
and Research, Letizia Moratti, will sign a Joint Statement on Science and Technology in
Ottawa on Monday, June 6. The Joint Statement acknowledges Canada and Italy’s
commitment to further developing ties in the field of science and technology, and
recognizes the many opportunities for closer cooperation between the two countries.
