MINISTER MACKAY TO TRAVEL TO NEW YORK


Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay today announced that he will travel to New York City on March 10, 2006.


“I look forward to meeting with Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Kofi Annan to exchange views on a wide range of political and security issues, as well as on UN reform,” said Minister MacKay.


Minister MacKay will also meet with the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Jan Eliasson, and Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Louise Fréchette.
