Cirque du Soleil for the first time in Brazil

After having presented its shows in over 100 cities around the world, Cirque du Soleil arrives in Brazil next August with its unique production, Saltimbanco.

A true celebration of life, Saltimbanco has been celebrated by over 10 million people worldwide. Conceived as an antidote to the violence and despair so prevalent in the 20th century, this phantasmagoria offers up a new vision of urban life, overflowing with optimism and joy. Saltimbanco is anything but linear; rather, it is a kaleidoscope, a whirlwind, an adventure in which anything can happen. Saltimbanco has its own special language, and its spirit is conveyed through voice, movement and music.

Cirque du Soleil is an international organization headquartered in Montreal, Canada. It is dedicated to the creation, production and performance of artistic works whose aim is to invoke the imagination, provoke the senses and evoke the emotions of people all around the world. Since its foundation, in 1984, its touring shows have been widely acclaimed by the public and critics.

The circus arts are used as a tool for psychosocial, cultural and educational development. The objective of the activities is to instill positive values and qualities that are important to social integration such as self-esteem, a sense of humor, social interaction, team work and a sense of belonging.

Fundraising activities in support of the Rede Circo do Mundo Brasil are organized by the DREAMS CAN BE FOUNDATION, a Brazilian organization that promotes international cooperation and raises funds both locally and in the U.S.
