Apply now for an Export Permit

You have already consulted the section “Do I need an export permit?” and found out that you have to apply for an individual export permit. In this section, you will find all the information you need to complete your application properly.

There are two ways to apply for an individual export permit, either online or on paper. By following the instructions below, your application will be ready for submission.

The benefits of an online application through our Export Control On-Line System (EXCOL) include reduced delivery time avoiding the travel delays of traditional mail and time for the data entry of your application (circa three (3) weeks).
Additional features of the online process include tracking capabilities which provide you with up to the minute information on your permit status, the ability to access and to print your permit in the convenience of your own office if you register with us as a recognized user. Become a recognized user by registering with us now.

How do I apply Online

Step 1:

  1. Before beginning the application process, be sure that you have all of your supporting documentation ready for submission (either electronically or on paper). Consult the section, “Required Additional Documents” to determine what documents are required.

Step 2:

Proceed to the official EXCOL website and choose your language.

Step 3:

Drag the cursor to the left-hand taskbar over “Apply for…” and select your appropriate application.

Step 4:

You will be presented with a privacy disclaimer. Click “accept”, in the lower right-hand side of the page, if you have read and agreed with the terms of the disclaimer.

Step 5:

Fill out all applicable fields. *We ask you to provide your GST number along with your first application.

Step 7:

Once you have submitted your application, the system will automatically generate a reference number (Ref. ID). Please, keep the Ref ID for future reference.
