To locate someone in Canada

If you wish to learn the whereabouts of a person in Canada, please note that there is no compulsory registration system as there is in Germany. Also, due to the Privacy Act of Canada, the embassy may not reveal personal information about residents of Canada.

To locate someone in Canada, you might consult:

If you are doing genealogical research:

To locate someone in Germany

• To find someone who is a registered resident in Germany, contact the Einwohnermeldeamt (Registration Office for Residents) of the town where you believe the person resides.
