Hours of Service

For Non-Immigrant Visas: Tourist, Business, Transit, Student, Temporary Worker, Returning Resident

Monday to Thursday:

9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. applications made in person, by third parties or travel agents.
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. pick-up of passports and travel documents only.

The embassy is closed to the public on Friday.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All fees related to services offered by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada office in Santiago (CIC) must be paid in cash (Chilean pesos), at any Scotia Bank branch. The Canadian embassy’s bank account number is: 97-00051-29

 

PRECEDURES FOR VISA REQUESTS:

All fees for visas requests must be paid before submitting a visa application. These fees cover the treatment of your request and are not refundable, regardless of the outcome of the application. The applicant is responsible for all bank charges including charges to convert any money into Chilean pesos. The receipt from Scotia Bank must clearly show the name(s) and surname(s)of the applicant(s),the bank seal (stamp), the account number of the Canadian embassy in Santiago and the amount paid.

The original receipt from the bank must be attached to the application. If you require a copy for your records, you must make your own copy prior to submission of the application at the Canadian Embassy Visa Section.

Applications must be submitted within 30 days after fees payment, otherwise, the application could be refused or suffer long delays in treatment. In most cases, for temporary resident visas, next day service is provided.
