Writing Workshops with Canadian Poet Stuart Ross

During his visit to Chile in late January 2006, Stuart Ross, a Canadian poet and writer, will offer three writing workshops in English, aimed at people who are interested in this literary genre.

Ross has been leading writing and poetry workshops for more than a decade. He is the author of dozens of poetry chapbooks, as well as four major collections, including Farmer Goomy’s New Hybrid - which was shortlisted for the prestigious 2000 Trillium Book Award - and the acclaimed Hey, Crumbling Balcony! Poems New & Selected. Active in the Canadian literary scene for 30 years, Stuart Ross is also the co-founder of the Toronto Small Press Book Fair and the literary editor for This Magazine.

The three workshops that Stuart Ross will lead in Chile, will take place at Las Nieves 3331 (Rotonda Perez Zujovic, Vitacura) from 10:00 to 13:00 on the following days:

• Monday January 23rd - “Adventures in Poetry”
• Tuesday January 24rd - “Fast Fiction”
• Wednesday January 25th - “Publishing”

To register, please call 207-3534 or 601-0103 or send an e-mail to fuego@unete.cl.

Each workshop costs CLP$15,000 per person and the registry fee for all three workshops is CLP$42,000, including coffee and snacks.
