23rd edition of Noche de Arte

The Canadian Association of Chile is organizing the 23^rd edition of Noche de Arte, a major art exhibition and sale which will showcase renowned and emerging Chilean artists, in order to raise funds in support of several charity organizations. This event will be held on Sunday June 4^th and Monday, June 5^th, 2006 in the San Cristóbal Ballroom of the Sheraton Santiago Hotel (Av. Santa María 1742).

For the first time, the art works will be on sale during both nights: on Sunday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm and at Monday’s Gala from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Gala will feature a cocktail reception, a wine tasting and a silent auction of several prizes.

Noche de Arte 2006 will feature 34 artists including painters in oil, watercolour and mixed media, as well as sculptors and artists who work in glass, textiles, ceramics and photography. Returning artists include Luis Guzmán Molina (watercolour), Aviva Sawicki (mixed media) and María Inés Varela (artwork in glass). Tickets are on sale at $10,000 pesos at the Santiago College, Craighouse and Nido de Aguilas Schools.
