Entering Canada

If you want to come to Canada for a few days or several months, you must meet some important immigration requirements. You must be in good health, law-abiding and have enough money to support yourself and your dependants during your stay.

If you are planning to stay in Canada for more than 6 months, you may be required to undergo an immigration medical examination. Before leaving home, you should also get a health insurance plan to pay for any hospital or medical services you may need while in Canada. In most cases, you will need a valid passport, proof of identity or other travel documents. Before leaving for Canada, citizens of the following countries and territories must apply for a visa to visit or transit Canada... more about entering Canada.

Pls note that Canadian "permanent residents" require a permanent resident card when re-entering Canada .

If you apply to immigrate to Canada you should submit your application to your nearest Canadian office. There is a fee for processing applications, although information about Canada's immigration law and other assistance are free of charge ...
