The 2006 Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research will take place in Athens on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at 5 p.m. at Syngrou Estate, 182 Kifissias, Maroussi. Kinesis Dance soma theatro is a Vancouver-based company, created in 1986, that explores the human condition through dance and physical theatre. Program details... Introducing CanadaEuropa - youth! CANADIANS HONOURED IN GREECE IN 2005 Dr. Eleftherios Diamandis, Professor, Dept. Laboratory Medicine & Pathobiology and Senior Researcher, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto was made a Member of the Academy of the University of Athens. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 5th, 2005 during which he was admitted by the President of the Academy, Professor Emmanuel Roukounas. Dr. Diamandis' work was presented by Academy Member, Professor Themistoclis Hatzioannou. At the ceremony, Dr. Diamandis also gave a lecture, entitled: "30 Years of Science and Medicine. Dr. Diamandis has also won a prestigious award from the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. He was named the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contributions to Clinical Chemistry in a Selected Area of Research. This is the highest research award given by the association.
