2004 - celebrating 400 years of culture & history!

In the early 1600s, France sought to create its first New World settlement in lands known as Acadie ... June 1604 would see nearly 80 settlers call L'île Ste-Croix home, on a river now marking the New Brunswick-Maine border. This year, as North Americans & Europeans celebrate a milestone anniversary for La Nouvelle France, we look to 400 years of history ... and to a poignant story of community survival.
