Video Streaming Technology
Streaming is a technology for playing audio and video files on your computer. When audio or video is streamed, the file starts to play before the download is complete. As long as the data is downloaded as fast as it is used in playback, the file will play smoothly.
Video streaming technology allows you to view smooth, uninterrupted video clips. However, if your computer system cannot download the data fast enough, the video clips may appear choppy, or the sound may fade in and out. In other words, your Internet connection speed, processor speed and bandwidth may affect the quality of the clip you wish to view.
If you are not able to view the clips at all, it may be because of a department firewall, which enforces a boundary between two or more networks and keeps unauthorized users out of private networks.
