FACTOR Loan Programs for Recording

FACTOR, as a private non-profit organization and an industrial strategy, is dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent recording industry. FACTOR is the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent On Records.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. Further eligibility criteria will vary according to the program.

Summary

FACTOR funds assist Canadian recording artists and songwriters in having their material produced and marketed, their videos created or to tour internationally and they provide support for Canadian record labels, distributors, producers, engineers, directors - all those facets of the infrastructure which must be in place in order for artists and the Canadian independent recording industry to progress in the international marketplace.

  • FACTOR Loan Program for Recording;

  • Urban and Eletronica Program;
  • Marketing and Promotion Program;
  • Video Grant;
  • Master Acquisition Component;

  • Domestic and International Business Development Support Program;
  • Domestic and International Showcase Support Program;
  • Domestic and International Tour Support Program;
  • FACTOR Loan;
  • Independent Loan Program;
  • Label, Manager and Distributor Business Development Program;
  • Marketing and Promotion for FACTOR-Funded Sound Recording;
  • Marketing and Promotion for non FACTOR-Funded Sound Recording;
  • Professional Demo Award;
  • Professional Publishers and Songwriters Demo Award;
  • Songwriters Educational Workshop and Seminar Support Program;
