The Niagara Escarpment Commission, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association, the Ontario Heritage Trust and the Friends of the Greenbelt, is sponsoring a three-day conference on sustainability, healthy communities and biosphere research.
This educational and interactive event features over 15 plenaries, panels and workshops as well as 25 academic presentations dealing with urban and rural planning, environmental monitoring, transportation policy, energy, economics, media, green building and much more. Distinguished speakers include Ilmar Reepalu (Mayor of Malmo, Sweden), Tom Daniels (Author, When City and Country Collide/University of Pennsylvania planning professor), David Hughes (Peak Oil Analyst), Mark Anielski (Genuine Wealth Assessment guru) and Avi Freedman (Author/McGill architecture professor) and over 30 others.
