The Consulate General in São Paulo welcomes Canadian World Peace Walker Jean Béliveau

On June 25, 2003, the Canadian Consulate General in São Paulo welcomed Canadian world peace walker Jean Béliveau to the Consulate General. Jean Béliveau shared with the Consulate General staff, members of local charity group Canadian International Women's Society, special guests and the international news agencies the highlights of his three-year journey across Eastern Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.

Jean Béliveau is a Montreal native who is walking around the world to promote peace and non-violence for children. Mr. Béliveau ended the Americas leg of his journey in São Paulo and will now fly to South Africa to begin his walk across the African continent. Mr. Bééliveau will end his world-wide walk in 2012.
