Canadian Ambassador celebrates the Maple Bear network of schools
On the occasion of inauguration of the Maple Bear school in the city of Aracaju, Canada's Ambassador to Brazil, Guillermo E. Rishchynski, sent a letter to the Maple Bear school to offer his best wishes for success in establishing pre-schools in Brazil:
"With the establishment of the Maple Bear network of schools in Brazil, I am pleased to see Canada's image associated once again with excellence in teaching. The quality of Canadian schools and universities and the high level of education they provide are renowned throughout the world. Year after year, this reputation is confirmed by the increase in the number of students coming to Canada to take advantage of the Canadian experience.
The explanation for this success likely lies in the fact that Canadian society recognizes education is important as a solid foundation for a successful career and a thriving country. Canada invests in the quality of the courses offered and pays special attention to primary education.
Maple Bear school brings a concept of bilingual early childhood education to Brazil that has been tested in Canada; it helps develop a multicultural society. The aim of the Canadian model is to make learning an enjoyable and stimulating experience by teaching respect for differences and openness to new knowledge and cultures.
I wish Maple Bear much success in its important mission of promoting Canadian education values. I hope these schools can train generations of Brazilians to be citizens of the world, prepared to cope with a constantly changing global dynamic and to face the challenges posed by contact with other peoples and cultures."
