What do I need to bring in to Motor Vehicles?

  • Proof of Insurance
  • All registration renewals, transfers and new transactions require proof of insurance. Proof of Valid Insurance is required at the time of application. Insurance can be purchased through an agent or insurance company.

    Within seven days once you take up residency or begin employment in the Territory.

    What paperwork does Motor Vehicles require to register a factory new vehicle?

  • Proof of Valid insurance
  • N.V.I.S. Form (New Vehicle Information Statement)
  • The original factory invoice - (if NVIS not available)
  • Bill of sale (signed by seller)

    Yes, you must send

  • proof of valid insurance (may be a photocopy), and
  • the Plate Number or renewal notice
  • Payment can be made by cheque, money order, Visa or MasterCard.
