Description:

Anyone who wants to ship or take any game meat, hides or any other parts out of the Yukon must have an export permit. Clearly mark containers on the outside showing the name and address of the sender, the number of the export permit, and a true statement of contents. To export a wolf, grizzly bear, polar bear, black bear, otter or lynx outside Canada, consult a conservation officer for clearances that comply with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species for Flora and Fauna (CITES). This also applies to any animal products purchased through souvenir or retail outlets. The Department of Environment will not issue an export permit unless all biological submissions are made and applicable trophy fees paid. Sheep horns must have a metal plug inserted by a conservation officer or wildlife technician to qualify for an export permit.
