The Yukon Scientists and Explorers Act covers both social and natural sciences research throughout the Yukon (except for archaeological and palaeontological research which require a permit under the Yukon Archaeological Sites Regulations). Call the Heritage Branch for information on scientific licences or archaeological research permits, or access this information on our Web site. Researchers must consult with Yukon First Nations before they are allowed a permit for research in First Nation Traditional Territories.
