Description:

The Information and Privacy Commissioner is an independent officer of the Yukon Legislative Assembly. The office monitors the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPP) and may review refusals by government departments and "agents of government" to provide access to records. The office also reviews complaints from people who believe that their personal information was not collected, used or disclosed according to the ATIPP.
