Geoff Bradshaw
Mineral Assessment Geologist

1973 - 2006

Geoff joined the Yukon Geological Survey in 2003 as a mineral assessment geologist. Previous to joining the Yukon Geological Survey, Geoff spent several years in the mineral exploration industry, mostly in Yukon, as a geologist for
various exploration companies and independently. Much of this time was spent exploring for massive sulphide deposits in the Finlayson Lake district. His latest projects with the YGS included assessment of the mineral potential of the North Yukon and Peel land use planning regions.

Geoff's education included Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in geology from the University of British Columbia. Geoff's M.Sc research project was on the geology and genesis of the Wolverine massive sulphide deposit in the Finlayson Lake region of Yukon.

Geoff was tragically killed in a helicopter accident on July 22, 2006. He was an inspiration to those who knew him and will be sadly missed.

A scholarship fund has been set up in Geoff's name with the Yukon Foundation. The scholarship will support a student in studies of Yukon's geology. Donations to the scholarship can be sent to:
