Policy and Program Development

Policy analysts provide corporate policy and program development services throughout the department, as well as coordination of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy legislation, requests. The unit also manages the Legislative agenda for the department, as well as supporting the federal/provincial/territorial agenda at the Ministers, Deputy Ministers and officials level.

Finance, Systems, and Administration

This Branch provides financial management and analysis, purchasing, accommodation and facilities management and network systems support for all branches of Health and Social services.

The Human Resources Team provides advice, guidance, and in some instances, direction to managers and supervisors in the day to day management of their Human Resource. These services include organization and job design, classification, recruitment, staff relations, staff development, pay and benefits administration and long-term planning.

Communications

Health and Social Services' Communications Branch plays a key role in ensuring that Yukon residents have accurate, up-to-date information about the territory's health and social programs, services and systems. The branch uses a variety of communication methods to keep Yukon residents informed.
