Jobs Available to Canadian ResidentsThese job opportunities are open to all eligible candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in Canada. To be eligible for appointment, candidates must have the legal right to live and work in Canada. The Government of Yukon offers a very competitive salary and benefits package which includes health and dental benefits, pension plan, sick leave of 15 days annually and vacation leave beginning at 4 weeks per year. In addition there is an annual northern tax benefit. After two years, each employee receives a travel allowance of $2042 per year. The government usually offers a full relocation package for the employee and his or her immediate family. The Territory has a very comprehensive French first language school system as well as a French immersion program through elementary and secondary school in Whitehorse.
