Glenn Hart was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election of November 4, 2002.   He was re-elected in the general election of October 10, 2006.  He was sworn into Cabinet on Octboer 28, 2006.

Mr. Hart first came to the Yukon in 1979 to work in Elsa. He moved to the territory permanently a few years later. His private sector experience also includes work as a financial executive in Whitehorse. He is part owner of the Meadow Lakes golf course in Whitehorse. Mr. Hart has also worked in three Yukon government departments: Economic Development, Renewable Resources, and most recently, Energy, Mines and Resources.

Mr. Hart’s volunteer activities include serving as president of the Yukon Quest and the Old Timers' Hockey Association. He also supports Whitehorse Minor Hockey and has coordinated and worked with the young goaltenders' clinic. He is a member of the Yukon Hockey Officials Association. He also volunteers with the Copper Belt Railway Society.

Mr. Hart is married with three children. He and his family have lived in Riverdale South since 1986.
