Welcome to the Government of Yukon Web site.

The Government of Yukon is working hard to create a bright future for all Yukoners. We have established a new Department of Economic Development and reinstated a stand-alone Department of Tourism and Culture. Our focus on revitalizing the economy with a "Team Yukon" approach is beginning to yield results. We are building meaningful economic relationships with our Yukon First Nations partners.

We have entered into economic cooperation agreements with our neighbours in Alaska, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The dramatic increase in mining exploration is a sure indication that investor confidence is returning to the territory.

We are also committed to improving the quality of daily life for Yukoners. Using a family-centred approach, we have enhanced programs and increased funding in areas such as health care, education, childcare and social services.

There is much yet to be done, but we can look forward with confidence, knowing that by working together we will build a strong, sustainable Yukon economy and a future full of optimism for our children.
