Description:

This program manages more than 2,000 archaeological sites in the Yukon (excluding those in National Parks) and works with Yukon First Nations to manage archaeological sites on Settlement Lands. The program takes part in land use planning initiatives, including Yukon Protected Areas planning, and reviews and assesses land use and development proposals to determine how they will affect heritage resources.
