Petitions for divorce must be filed in the Yukon Supreme Court in Whitehorse. Spouses who do not wish to use the services of a lawyer to file for divorce can obtain a do-it-yourself divorce kit. These kits contain the Rules of Court and the forms required by the court to finalize a divorce.
Divirce kits are available from the Supreme Court desk in the Whitehorse court registry at a cost of $5. Registry staff cannot give legal advice or financial guidance.
