For almost two decades weve learned
about the specific training requirements of First Nations,
Inuit and Metis and organizations that work with them.
We take this knowledge to customize programs specifically
fit for you. Recognizing that each Aboriginal community
is unique, SAIT has a dedicated team to ensure our training
serves the dual purposes of serving the needs of individuals
as well as contributing to the economic independence of
the community.
Our successes speak for themselves.
Programs have been successfully delivered Siksika, Hobbema
to the Four Nations; Ermineskin, Louis Bull, Montana, Samson
and the Stoney Nations; Chiniki, Wesley and Bearspaw.
SAITs training programs for Aboriginal communities
are designed to be:
- Flexible and multi-dimensional - ensuring training takes
place in an appropriate cultural setting and a time that
works for you.
- Hands-on, community-based -whenever possible, SAIT contracts
Aboriginal personnel to provide ongoing coordination and
coaching for learners.
- Cultural support - SAIT understands the unique cultural
identity of Aboriginal communities.
- Built on partnerships - SAIT has built strong partnerships
with industry, government, and education authorities,
as well as with Aboriginal communities and organizations,
such as the Memorandum
of Understanding that exists between SAIT and the
Indian Resource Council.
