Where The Fish Are

Getting To The Yukon

Here in the Yukon, feisty northern species like Arctic grayling, northern pike and lake trout crowd the eddies and outflows of icy streams and abound in our pristine lakes. Lesser known but highly prized fish like the inconnu and Arctic char navigate wild rivers that flow through one of the world's most remote and extraordinary landscapes. Anglers insist there's nowhere like it.

Whether journeying to an exclusive fly-in lodge or exploring from the roadside with family, fishing in the Yukon yields exceptional memories and an enviable catch. And there is no hurry here. You are on Yukon time. Relaxed. Expansive. Indelible.

Yukon has adopted progressive conservation strategies to ensure that our fish stocks remain healthy and productive. Fishing practices are guided by three First Nations principles: respect the animal, take only what you need, and use everything you take. Visiting anglers are encouraged to adhere to these principles and to carefully practice live release fishing whenever possible.

We welcome you to the fishing trip of a lifetime.
