Steve Traynor Since starting with the Yukon Geology Program in 2001, Steve has been updating mineral occurrences contained within the Yukon MINFILE, a computerized mineral inventory system that documents the exploration history and geology of metallic, industrial mineral and coal occurrences in the Yukon. Steve completed a BSc (honours) degree in geology at Queen’s University
in Kingston, Ontario in 1982 and has worked in industry for various mining
companies and as a geological contractor before moving to the Yukon in
1992. Since that time and prior to accepting his current position, Steve
worked independently locating and developing mineral properties in the
Yukon and British Columbia.
