The Driver's Basic Handbook (PDF 1.9MB) is a study guide for people who want to get their Yukon driver's licence or to review the rules of the road. This manual includes information on obtaining a driver's licence, registration and insurance, the rules of the road, basic driving skills, safety and emergency driving practices.

Taking Your Medical Condition into Account (PDF 134KB) explains how your medical condition may affect your ability to hold a Yukon driver's licence. Also available in French (Votre état de santé importe) (PDF 134KB), it provides information about how decisions are made about your ability to drive safely, the appeal process and contact information. A form is included to authorize the release of information about your medical condition.

The Commercial Classes 1 through 3 Supplemental Handbook goes beyond instructions for private vehicle use. Information includes maneuvering commercial vehicles, stopping, passing and being passed, defensive driving, operating a public passenger vehicle, school bus, towing trailers, handling cargo and vehicle load dimensions.

This book will show you about brakes and breaking, components, how the system works, trailer systems, duel air systems and how to perform a pre-trip inspection.

You're Behind the Wheel Now (PDF 112KB) is the Graduated Driver Licensing brochure for new Yukon drivers. It goes hand in hand with the Driver's Basic Handbook and explains the process, restrictions, and condictions on how to enter as a new learner and leave as a trained novice driver.

The Yukon Government's Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) publishes periodically newsletters in pdf format that provide emergency preparedness information and news about Yukon and national emergency management activities, procedures, and training exercises.
