The Department of Energy, Mines & Resources, Lands Branch is aware of inaccuracies and errors in the data such as duplicate parcels and incomplete attributes. Lands Branch mapping services is working towards resolving any errors or omissions in the data.

NRCAN Legal Survey Cadastral Information

For those interested in automatically downloading the NRCan Legal Survey ftp data, Lands/Agriculture data and Mining data, a batch file was created with corresponding instructions.

Mining

Every attempt is made from the Minerals Management Branch to update mapping information weekly. However, users should take note of the last updated date, and contact the appropriate district Mining Recorder's office for the most current information.
