PREMIER FENTIE ACCEPTS RESIGNATION OF MINISTER EDZERZA
WHITEHORSE – Premier Dennis Fentie has announced that he has accepted the resignation of John Edzerza, as Minister of Justice and Minister of Education, effective immediately.
"I wish to thank Mr. Edzerza for his dedicated efforts as government minister responsible for education and justice," Premier Fentie said. "The Substance Abuse Action Plan, Corrections Reform and Education Reform stand out as some of the important government initiatives that Mr. Edzerza was charged with carrying out on behalf of all Yukoners. I wish him well in his future endeavours."
Edzerza has also indicated that he will sit as an Independent Member for the remainder of the 31st Legislative Assembly.
