Childcare Workers Learn Teaching Skills

Childcare workers will be learning skills to develop communication, literacy and social skills in young children.

Community Training Funds are helping the Child Development Centre train childcare workers in Whitehorse, Dawson City and Watson Lake. The current project follows a highly received pilot program, also supported by CTF through the Literacy Action Committee.

"Childcare worker training is a tremendous investment in our communities. We are building an important foundation for kids moving into the school system and beyond," said Irene Szabla, Executive Director of the Child Development Centre.
