Youth Exploring Trades 2006Department of Education, Advanced Education in Partnership with Skills Canada Yukon, administers a summer trades camp for youth interested in learning more about the trades. The Youth Exploring Trades Camp provides exposure to a wide variety of trade related avenues that youth may wish to pursue as career vocations. If you are ready to try something different this summer and like using tools to create masterpieces with your own hands, well then, YOUTH EXPLORING TRADES is for you. Skills Canada Yukon offers a summer trades camp for youth ages 11 to 15 to explore the industry and gain hands on experience using the tools of the trades. Guest speakers and instructors assist in the camps offering expert advice and instructional tips to youth on how to improve and design their soap box racer. Every Friday ends with a race and BBQ, where each team can race their master craft seeing if it will hold up on race day. The camps are challenging and are combined with recreational activities to offer breaks for the stress of building the ultimate racing machine. Get involved this summer and test your building creativity. Youth Exploring Trades, it's Exciting, Exhilarating, and Fun! Whitehorse Camp Sessions - Venue: Skills Canada Yukon, 103 Platinum Road
