Wildlife Viewing in Yukon

Seeing wildlife is often the highlight of a trip in Yukon. Yukon enjoys many special northern species not common or found in lower latitudes. Whether it is moose, caribou, Gyrfalcons or swans you wish to see, take the time and get to know where the best viewing opportunities are.

The Wildlife Viewing Program will help you find these sites, and give you tips about how to look, where to find out more information and what else is out there that you might not have noticed. While in Yukon communities, stop by the Visitor Reception Centres and pick up a copy of  Wild Discoveries and other Free Nature Walks, Talks and Wildlife Viewing - Summer 2006.  Check here frequently for updates and new events throughout the year.
