Alaska Bald Eagle Festival

Celebrate the largest gathering of bald eagles in the world! Wildlife & photography workshops, live bird presentations, guided eagle viewing, evening entertainment and eagle release ceremony.

Tracking Tour on Skis (& FREE SKI DAY)
1:30 - 3:30 PM: Meet at Mt.McIntyre Recreation Centre waxroom.
Have you ever noticed sign of moose, marten or mouse while skiing? How about wolf? Did you know that the Mt.McIntyre ski trails pass through several designated significant wildlife areas? Join naturalist Sara Nielsen for a free interpreted ski to find out what's going on when we're not around...You ski for free, but be sure to bring or rent ski gear. Dress warmer than usual - you never know what will stop us in our tracks!

2007 Biodiversity Forum
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Lecture Theatre, Yukon College
A day for community members and researchers to share information and foster partnerships, learn about Yukon plants, animals and special habitats as well as to identify knowledge gaps and species or habitats that need monitoring. The purpose of the forum is to give an opportunity for a broad cross section of exposure to current field projects that relate to biodiversity assessment and monitoring in the Yukon. Posters, coffee and lunch breaks provided.
