Yukon Summer Career Placement Program (SCP)

Employers
If you can create one or more summer employment positions for youth and/or students this year, the Yukon Summer Career Placement Program could assist by providing a wage subsidy to offset employment costs. Depending upon the category of Municipal, Non-Profit or Private Sector that you fall under will determine your wage subsidy.

All employers must pay the Yukon minimum wage of $7.20 per hour or more. In addition all employment positions must provide a minimum of 30 hours per week, but will not normally exceed 40 hours a week and will have work terms that will last between 6 and 16 consecutive weeks. Work terms must be between May 1st to September 1st of the current year. Part-time employment is permissible only for disabled employees.
