The Sustainable Condo – Toronto debut!
The Sustainable Condo is presented by lead partners, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and EcoSmart Foundation. A full-size display suite, the Sustainable Condo demonstrates how human comfort and environmental responsibility can be achieved by combining smart, innovative design with state-of-the-art green building technologies, materials and products that are available and affordable now — from local suppliers and manufacturers.

The Integrated Design Process and CMHC's Support to Designers of Sustainable Housing and Communities
Mark Salerno will explain CMHC's diverse product and service offerings benefiting Architects and Design Professionals involved in the housing sector. Learn about CMHC support related to the creation of affordable and sustainable housing.

Seminar details

Planning Panel: Planning for Green
Carla Guerrera will explain, as part of a panel discussion, how CMHC and partners are taking steps to help develop "Vaughan -Block 39" as an example of sustainability in action. Block 39 is currently the largest EnergyStar for Homes project in Ontario. Many additional features collectively demonstrate the first steps to what is possible in Ontario.
