AFMNet STAR Program

The Advanced Foods and Materials Network (AFMNet), a Network of Centres of Excellence, announces its new Strategic Transition & Application of Research program. This program aims to:

Exploit research results and developments (IP) that promise to advance knowledge and technology transfer in emerging areas related to foods and bio–materials research by supporting Proof of Principle and Knowledge Mobilization projects which are of benefit and relevance to the social and economic health of Canada.

Funding of up to $150,000 per project (one year, non-renewable) is available. Please refer to the attached documents. Applicants must register by November 15, 2006. Deadline for submission of proposals is December 15, 2006. Decisions will be announced in Mid–February. Funding will begin March 1, 2007.

Access to this tool to register will be available beginning Monday, October 23, 2006. The attached documents will also be available for download using the web tool.
