NSERC Chairholders Now Available On-Line
While the NSERC Search Engine (http://www.nserc.gc.ca/news/expert_e.htm)
has always been the primary tool for finding out who's doing what in
the NSERC-funded universe, we have added a new site (http://www.nserc.gc.ca/partners/chairs_e.asp)
that profiles, in much greater depth, many of the Chairs that receive
NSERC funding.
Launched in March 2005, the new NSERC Chairholders Database currently
features 90 Chairholders from six programs – Industrial
Research Chairs (IRC), Chairs in Design Engineering (CEDE), Industrial
Research Chairs in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research, Northern Research
Chairs Program (NRCP), Chairs in the Management of Technological Change
(CMTC), and Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering (CWSE). Each
profile includes a summary of the Chairholder’s activities, relevant
key words, partner organizations and contact information.
Visit the NSERC Chairholders Database to find out just how quickly
you can reach a Chair who is working in a specialized field. Stay tuned
to this area of NSERC’s Web site, as many more Chairholders will
be added in the coming months.
