Media Advisory - Launch of a new Network of Centres of Excellence

Toronto, June 1st, 2006 As part of the 9th Annual Subtle Technologies Festival that will be held in Toronto from June 1-4, 2006, the Networks of Centres of Excellence of Canada are launching a new network, the Canadian Design Research Network. Would you like to know how to increase worker productivity in Canada and cut energy use at the same time? Try using more natural lighting. That's just one example the new Network cites when explaining how novel approaches to design can improve Canadian productivity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make people healthier.

This event will be of interest to business, city, design and architecture reporters.

Photo ops include cutting-edge 3-D rapid prototyping.

Date: Friday, June 2, 2006
Time: 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Innis College
University of Toronto
2 Sussex Avenue
Toronto ON M5S 1J5
