Peer Review
Selection committees and panels are the heart of the peer review process by which awards are made; they are guided by the policies, budgets and selection criteria established by Council. Selection committees and panels may also provide advice on policy issues to standing committees, to Council, and to the President or other Council officers. Over 500 university, industrial, and government experts from both within Canada and abroad serve on these committees without remuneration, other than for travel expenses. About 10,000 additional experts who volunteer their time in evaluating applications assist the selection committees. Selection Committees |
